Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this zine for charity or profit?

Ans: Any profit from this zine will be donated to Medecins Sans Frontieres.

Q: How many contributers will be taken on?

Ans: We're looking to have about 30 artists, 15 writers, and 10 merch artists. All contributors will be required to join the zine team's discord server upon acceptance.

Q: Can I apply for more than one role?

Ans: You can apply for more than one, but we'll only accept you for one position. That said, if you are a page artist interested in contributing one or two pieces of merch, we'd love to have your contribution!

Q:What do contributors get?

Ans: At the very least, every contributor will receive a copy of the zine (either physical or digital, their choice.) We hope to give every contributor the highest bundle, but that'll depend on sales!

Q: What if I have to drop out of the zine?

Ans: That's alright! We understand life comes first. We have a schedule in place to gather pinch-hitters if needed. We do ask, though, that if you have to drop out, please do so before the first check-in (April 23) if at all possible!

Q:What if I miss preorders?

Ans: Don't worry! There will be extra copies that will be made available for a leftovers sale.

Q: What will be required of writers?

Ans:Portfolio Requirements:Two pieces under 2k and one piece under 1k. These can be excerpts of longer pieces or standalone pieces. Note that one piece must be Marvel.Role Expectations:You will be expected to write a piece that is under 2k. Or, if you prefer you could bring an idea of your own to us mods and we can work something out. We are asking that your piece is Marvel-character focused, which means no OCs please! But, overall, be creative! Go wild!

Q: What will be required of artists?

Ans:Portfolio Requirements:Three pieces, one of which that must be fully colored, and one of which that must be Marvel.Role Expectations:Depending on what type of art you’ll be doing, you will be expected to create a comic spread, draw a companion piece for a fic, or bring your own idea to life with a full page piece. Both comic and traditional styles are wanted on this zine! We are asking that your piece is Marvel-character focused, which means no OCs please!

Q: What will be required of merch artists?

Ans:Portfolio Requirements:Pictures of merch you’ve designed in the past.Role Expectations:You will be expected to design a sticker, and then design two additional pieces of your choosing.Marvel focused is required, but you also have a lot more liberty. We want you to have some fun with it!
